CANCER: THE FIRST SIGNS

Cancer can take many forms. Many studies report cancer could be an immune suppression or free radical disease, however, most cancers have one thing in common. Cancer cells form tumours which can destroy or compress other normal tissues. These malignant tumours are characterised by unrestrained cell growth and can spread to other parts of the body. Up to 25% of Australians may develop some type of cancer, however, it is important to remember that cancer is a word not a death sentence. Early detection and prompt treatment combined with natural therapies can make the difference between health and disease.

The possible signs and symptoms of cancer could be any one of the following:

1 Blood in your stool.

2 A mole which changes colour and size.

3 Coughing up blood.

4 A sudden change in bowel habits.

5 A persistent sore throat or change in timbre your voice.

6 An unusual lump in the female breast.

7 Persistent headaches and/or changes in vision.

If you have noticed any of the above do not panic. It may not be cancer. See your doctor immediately for further examination.

If cancer is the problem, putting it off will only make things worse.
